Daniel Hassan Bwala Esq, LLM, MCIArb (UK), is a Legal Practitioner, a Notary Public, Author, Adjunct Lecturer, Arbitrator, Public Speaker, Resource Person and Regulatory Consultant. He was admitted to practice in England and Wales, by the Honourable Society of the Lincolns Inn, London. He bagged his LLB (Hons) in Law from the University of Maiduguri, Nigeria, and LLM in International Business Law from Coventry University, UK. His practice specialty areas are Litigation, Corporate and Commercial Law; Negotiation and Arbitration. He also devotes considerable time to public interests and development law via publication of articles in newspapers, international journals as well as a legal analysist on nationally and internationally syndicated television networks such as the Vox Africa, UK; Ben Television, UK; Channels Television, TVC Television, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Africa Independent Television (AIT), etc.

He has had prior training in various subjects and courses amongst which are Public Administration with the University of Maiduguri; Conflict Analysis with the United States Institute of Peace, Interfaith and Conflict Resolution, Negotiation and Conflict Management, all with the United States Institute of Peace. In February and April 2006, he participated in Client Counselling Competitions both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom respectively, where he emerged the best in Nigeria and the second best in the United Kingdom (UK).

In July 2008, he participated as an Observer/Shadow Judge at the International Negotiation Competition (INC), University of Westminster, London, UK. Consequently, in February 2009, he became Nigerian National Representative to International Negotiation Competition (INC), USA till date.

He has attended conferences in Nigeria, United Kingdom, Spain and the United States of America, (USA) on Subjects like International Oil and Gas Law, Trans-Border Transactions, Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law, Insolvency, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights, Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Mediating Violent Conflicts. He has also consulted for United States Institute of Peace (USIP) as Monitoring and Evaluation Consultant in a project funded by USIP in Nigeria.

D.H. Bwala is a member of professional bodies and associations such as the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA); International Bar Association (IBA); Honourable Society of the Lincolns Inn, London; Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK (MCIArb); London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA); British Nigeria Law Forum (BNLF). He was an adjunct lecturer and an external examiner with the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja. He served as a resource person to the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (NIALS), The Institute of Security Studies (ISS), Defence Intelligence College and an external examiner, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) Kuru Jos, Plateau State.
