Andrew Arome Abogede
Andrew bagged his LLB (Hons) from Kogi State University in 2014. Afterwards he proceeded to the Nigerian law school, where he obtained his BL and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2015. He is licensed to practice law in Nigeria as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
He joined the law firm of Babalakin & Co in 2015 where he did his internship and garnered the requisite knowledge in Litigation, Corporate Practice and Maritime law. He also joined the Legal Aid Council, FCT in 2016 as a corp member and as an ardent advocate of human right, he used his good office as the Vice President of the Legal Aid Clinic FCT branch to secure several acquittals and also ensured diligent/expeditious trial of indigent inmates at Kuje Medium Correctional Centre, Pro Bono.
Andrew is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in high value commercial litigation, arbitration and other forms of dispute resolution. He has extensive proficiency in handling complex civil and criminal litigation cases in courts of original and appellate jurisdiction.
His practice focuses mainly on corporate/commercial transactions and incidental matters, such as company registration, company secretarial services, general corporate restructuring, corporate finance, due diligence, corporate compliance, joint ventures, legal advisory services and mergers and acquisitions in Nigeria.
Since joining the firm, Andrew has garnered experience in Aviation law, Trade, Environmental, Corporate, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Human Rights, Maritime, Energy and Infrastructure and Oil and Gas Law.
